These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of houseOS and the website at house-os.app. By using the app or site, you agree to these Terms.

The service

houseOS helps housemates share a digital “house”: presence, todos, rotas, bills, and related home-screen features. Features may change as we improve the product.

Your account

You sign in with Apple and are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep your device and Apple ID secure.

Houses & content

You retain rights to content you create. By adding content to a house, you grant other members of that house permission to view and use it as the product intends. Do not upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing material.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Misuse the service or attempt to disrupt CloudKit sharing
  • Harass other members or misuse presence or personal data
  • Reverse engineer the app except where allowed by law
  • Use houseOS for anything illegal

Availability

houseOS depends on Apple services (including iCloud and WeatherKit). We do not guarantee uninterrupted access and are not responsible for outages outside our control.

Disclaimer

The app and site are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. houseOS is not a substitute for formal tenancy, legal, or financial advice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of houseOS.

Termination

You may stop using houseOS and leave a house at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.

Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
